Can I build a website for free?

You can build a website for free, but there will likely be at least 1 caveat.

For example: a free trial period, fees on sales, limited form submissions, you have to have the website builder’s subdomain added onto yours (ex: yourbusiness.wix.com or yourbusiness.google.com). Google Sites, and the basic website builders like SquareSpace and Wix are most commonly what comes up when you’re looking for a free website builder.

With many of those examples, free quickly turns into not free or even costing your business money with missing out on leads.

Technically you can build a WordPress site for free, but you’ll end up needing to pay for hosting, and maybe some plugins/themes, so it’s not truly free. Some of the new AI website builders also market as “Free” but to add functionality and certain things, you end up on a monthly subscription.

Paying professionals has a price, but consider the time saved, expertise baked in, and all of the residual benefits that can have. A $5,000 investment for example, can very easily turn into much more than $5,000. This is especially true with website design, and digital marketing efforts.
