Why is my website getting traffic but not converting?

If your website isn’t converting traffic, you probably have content on your site that is bringing in irrelevant users, it isn’t exhibiting trust, or the path to conversion isn’t clear, or is congested.

Usually when we encounter clients that have sufficient tracking, but they’re not converting, we find that they’re driving irrelevant traffic or the path to conversion isn’t clear.

For example, let’s say you’re a bathroom remodeling company. You might not realize it, but your content or certain technical features of the page could be vague enough that users are coming to your site from unrelated remodeling searches like “basement remodeling”.

We also often see websites that have a lot in the main navigation, or an overwhelming amount of content, links, images, etc. and no clear call to action (CTA).

Websites should communicate simply, and provide simple next steps. So referencing back to that bathroom remodeling company, maybe they have a blog on “10 Bathroom Ideas in 2026” that drives users in, gives them ideas, showcases experience/credentials, then provides a short contact us form next to the blog post.

Straight to the point, minimal distractions.
